decided to turn on the box to play one day and it comes up with the xbox original message saying that you need to call customer support . additionally the power button won't turn it off and it turns it self on automatically sometimes.. kinda freaky. the "X" on the front is red at this point/
I popped the hood once again and made sure all connections were secure that i booted up again and the "X" is blue....but it only stays on for 3 seconds then shutsdown.. displaying nothing on the TV
any suggestions?

I would say at first glance, double check your D0 solder joint.

Make sure you are getting the proper lights for power (LED's on the chip) and if you are not, double check soldering joints.

Corrupted bios I presume. Can you ftp a bios in to the chip?
Can you turn off the chip and have it go to the M$ dash using the original bios that came with the V1.0? Did you use a solderless mounting system?

What modchip? what bios.....more details. Give as many as you can think of.

What did you do differently the time before this last one when you turned it on. If you did nothing its ok.

I have to assume that if it's in the Xecuter Modchip Discussions (Xecuter1, Xecuter2, Xecuter3) forum, it must be a Xecuter1, Xecuter2, Xecuter3? Ya? Laughing

I know buster, however the X3 is a lot more chip than the other and uses 2 extra pins that the others don't utilize for live Bios setting adjustments. (I2C)

Plus the bios is like comparing Kentucky Fried to Goose a la Range (spelling?)

Goose al orange? wtf? I can't remember! THANK YOU Percocet!

And Thank you chuck norris.
