Hey I was just wondering if anyone has any idea why this is happening?

Ok my box boots up perfect without a the chip plugged in, but when I put the chip on the mobo then plug in the power cord it automatically turns on and my box wont turn off ... also my xlcd (w/control panel) starts smoking ... so i disconnected that so it doesnt ruin it. does anyone have ANY clue how to fix this? or what caused it? it was working find yesterday!!

make sure that the red cord going to the peice that plugs into the power pcb isnt plugged into the red plug on the X3 chip. i've seen that happen to people before...
