Alright... I had an unlocked HD and was getting Error 05(Configmagic and dumb friend pulled power cord... accually tripped but ) and tried all these diff methods to lock it back without the eeprom... finally used Xboxhdm and locked it with the password TEAMASSEMBLY (since thats the last password I remember seeing). Ok so then I was getting Error 06...
Now for the life of me I CANNOT get it to become unlocked again... I have no clue what to do now... can someone please helpe me out here?

Hi,
Use the same tool you used to LOCK the HDD and get it to unlock!
Once its unlocked then lock it using CONFIG MAGIC!
Whats your setup too?? If you are running a softmod you will be having nothing but trouble..
If you have a modchip installed it should still boot whether its locked or unlocked.. (thats the joy of the modchip).,

Yea I have a softmod... Avalaunch.
Used ConfigMagic, unlocked it, box got error 05... so yes I hooked the HD up to my computer, booted it with Xboxhdm, went to option 4 which is dos and LOCKED it and now the box gets error 06. Now when I go back there even tho I "UNLOCK" it the program really doesn't unlock it. I can LOCK it with any password I want and it work, UNLOCK it with any password I want and it work... its like the program locked it and locked its self out or somethin .
If anyone has a solution for me I'd really appreciate it... if I HAVE to buy modchip now or a new HD... out of those 2 I was wanting to upgrade my HD anyway, but if I buy a new HD how can I get it to work in my xbox (WITHOUT screwing the new one up like this one) if I don't have an eeprom backup?

So I'm guessing that means just buying another HD isn't an option then?

And if so, I read all the threads on "don't ask what modchip to buy cause we dunno whats best for you" but you all do now lol.
I have no eeprom backup... what modchip would you all reccomend that is solderless, works on Xbox V1.1, and will help me to fix my HD (if that is still possible)? I've noticed Xenium Ice/Smartxx/Xecuter3 are popular... but which is best for my case? I don't really care too much about all the options on the chip since I'm really just using it to fix my softmod... that is unless modchips offer a ton more features than any softmod can? (that much I dunno about)

Chip and new hard drive means working xbox. Xenuim solderless is easy to use and set up for about 50 bucks. X3 and a xapter is about 65.
I use a Xenuim Spice for setting up softmods on all versions of xbox. _________________ Xbox v1.3

Alright this may be a newb question I dunno, I've been looking but I can't find much difference cept price.
Whats the difference between Xenium Ice and Xenium Spice? And which would u recommend to me for my situation?

Also about AID2.0... (for when I get an answer about the modchip and order it)...
What is the purpose for the 2 dummy files (100mb and 1gig)? Should I update the .iso with them or will it work without them? Thats about the only thing I haven't been able to figure out about that thing lol.
