Hey all...as everyone here is very aware I have never been a huge proponent for the X3 mod chip. However, I am very fond of bling bling and the X3 Control Panel is sweet as hell. Fact of the matter is, out of the hundreds and hundreds of chips I have installed, the X3 has only been in that batch about six times.
I have someone who purchased a HD from me through Ebay. I configure a folder on the HD C:/Bios with bios' for many chips since I have no idea what mod chip the buyer has.
He flashed both of his 1mb banks with M8 flavors and then called me to somewhat complain that the HD must not be working because his Xbox is acting very strangely.
When I informed him that he flashed the wrong bios to his banks and would have to clear them he wanted nothing to do with it and asked me to do the task for him. I even mentioned he still has 2mb banks to play with, but I think his flashing days are over...lol.
What I would like to do is just clear his banks for him instead of just flashing a 2mb bank. What is the easiest way to restore the X3 chip back to factory specs with FlashBios on there of course.
He has a 1.6 Xbox so if memory serves me correct I need to roll with flashbios 3.0.1 or does that not matter.
I'm sure I can find some info from xecuter, but thought I'd pick our brains first.

It matters, 1.6=3.01, 1.6b=3.03 only. He has a backup bank right, hold the power + eject, and just reflash, I reflash over an m8 bios with a flashbios 3.01 unauthorized 256k with no problems, then flashed over that with .3294 when it came out. So he could just use the backup?
Anymore questions, just shout, hopefully I or another x3 fan can help.
Factory specs would also call for 1mb flashbios on 1234 and and 3.03 (1mb) on 5678
Flashbios erases the bank, just make sure it set to it before he flashes. This time, specifically send him the files he needs, hopefully he could just do a nice easy web server flash, tried and true, also, if he had the x3 bios, he could just be in x3cl and flash bios' via ftp.
And to go with the title hold A+B+X+Y on boot to clear eeprom and reset to default.
That is one coding on start, here is another one
NTSC + PAL quick change on startup hold:
Left trigger + (X) / (Y), I forget if x is blank and y is blank, but you will know if it works. _________________ XBOX v1.6

He can't look at the ram chips, or do you warranty seal them? _________________ XBOX v1.6
