I flashed my X3 with the 3108 bios and I was wanting to know why would I need to install the EvoX dash when I pretty much have all the options on X3 dash and if I do need to install it,do I just boot up with X3 enabled and throw the EvoX dash disc in and it will do the rest?? _________________ $uperHaxx iz in tha house.

you dont have as many options as you think you do. although it is possible to do some things without a dash they really are the easiest way to run games, media, apps, ect from your xbox hdd.

you can use a evox boot disk. but the new AIDv2.0.x is really the way to go. it can install multi dashboards, apps, ect.
since the x3 chip has a FTP server that runs when the chip and x3 bios is running you can use FTP to upload the dashboards and apps of your choice to the xbox hdd.

I never really paid much attention to the X3 Config Live options. So what you are saying is with this bios/chip you can actually launch games on the HD and so forth??
If that is the case, then you are correct I really don't see a need to load a dashboard. Although, some dashboards do have some features that I am sure the Config Live does not, but if you are just using for basic purposes you may have a point.
I just havent seen the options to boot Emulators and Apps..unless you are just browsing files and launching XBE's...
If that is the case, the advantage of the EvoX or Ava dash would be getting to your apps or games quicker and having a more robust menu.
