Today I installed the auto installer v2.0 but when I installed everything when I restarted my box it tells me "Xbox Live is trying to updata your system then I click ok then it says plz try again later. Also the anination dose show up but then the message comes up. Any ideas for how can I fix my xbox also I did a system backup on E:\ drive. How can I recover the backup.

I was thinking if I buy a spiderchip will this do the job and get my xbox back to working conditions?

I manage to load the games but I have to put the game in and then turn it off and then it will load if i open the tray and put the game it will save xbox live is not responding.

I was going to try what you said Pirrup but today my xbox wount boot the game it still says "Xbox live is updataing your system" after that it says Xbox live is not ressponding. Also, I do not have ever Installed Xbox live on my system. Could I bypass it using the spiderchip or am I screwed.

I was thinking to buy a used xbox on ebay that way I can replace the harddrive with mine to see if it will load games or have the MS Dashboard. Dose anybody know if you can replace the original harddrive with an other xbox harddrive?

you can if you got the eeprom backup
because you need to lock the hd with that eeprom .
a softmodded xbox needs a locked hd .
just start xbox with tray open so you get in softmod menu
here you can resore ms dash.
another option is installing your spider chip and use AID to reinstall the hd.

How do I do this I power up the Xbox then I hold the tray open and restart the xbox. or what do I need to do cuz it tells me "Xbox live is try to updata your system" and it will not show any Dash at all. After the anination it tells me "Xbox live is try to updata your system". And it stays there. Also, I cant just replace the harddrive with a new one. For example, buying a new xbox and taking off the harddrive and putting it on mine. Cuz if I can do that then I might buy an xbox on ebay to replace the harddrive that has the MS Dash on it.
