Hi. I have a v 1.6b xbox, with a Xenium Ice chip, and M8+ Bios, and Slayers Evox. I've used Evtool to configure my Bios to look for avalaunch.xbe first, but it still loads slayers evox first. does anyone know what i should do to always load avalaunch first?

you can quite easily rename the avalaunch.xbe file to evoxdash.xbe file, and that should work.

should i then change my original Evoxdash.xbe to avalaunch.xbe? How do I go about doing that? Ftp the file to my Computer, change it, then ftp it back?? or can I change it on the xbox itself?

You could easily change the name of the file on your Xbox if you can, just use FTP to rename the file. Yes you'll have to delete the old evoxdash.xbe file before you do this.

so i change the name of avalaunch.xbe to evoxdash.xbe, and then delete the original evoxdash.xbe? Do I have to move the new evoxdash.xbe to where the old one used to be? or leave it in the avalaunch folder?

Move your avalaunch to where the old evox was.
