Your problem could be from a solder splash or some solder connecting a couple of traces together. Check over the MOBO very carefully.. _________________ Xbox v1.3

Hey appollo...
I got your PM
I would be fearing that there is something wrong with the motherboard. I have had the exact same thing happen to me. It turned out to be a bad power supply spiking and it damaged the mobo and made it malfunction. There is a chip, like a mini processor that handles the powering on and off of the Xbox.
It's hard to say what caused your issue. I would bet that if you removed the chip, and all of the soldering your motherboard will still power on when you plug it in.
Does it let you turn it off. At first the one that did this to me, would. But then eventually it started failing worse until it got to the point where I couldn't use the power button at all. I could only plug it in or unplug it.
Sorry I couldnt be of any more help. _________________ Good Deals: Death@Hand, funkydopenloven, StaticMind, Slamscaper, PorscheXboxter
