run config magic on your xbox and you'll find your password. make sure you back up all your info... eeprom and such. then ftp it to your pc (just in case). To go on from there, look up the tutorials found here on this great site. _________________ XBOX v1.3:

IF you made a backup of your original xbox C: then you will be able to use the eeprom from that backup to generate a password with xboxhdm 1.9. ONly thing to do is include the eeprom in the specific folder. I can't remember the neame of the folder now but it is very clear in the instructions. Let me know if you need more help! _________________ 2 Xbox V 1.0

I think I found the eeprom key number, but not sure I dont know yet. I was talking a look around in my back up folder from my softmod and I found a log file named hddinfo.txt Here is what it says Disk serial numer :"with numbers"
Disk Model number"with numbers"
HHD Key:"with lots of numbers"
HDDLOCKDisablePassword:"with numbers and letters"
XboxHDKey:"with numbers and letters"
If this is not what I need then how do I genterate a eeprom number using xboxhddm. Do I generate the number when I run the program on my PC, or can I just generate the number before I burn the ISO?

Ok,
SID 2.0
Back up MS
Softmod
Install Evox
goto backup feature in Evox & backup
goto evox settings, set static IP to yes & set your IP address
Example:
Static IP = 192.168.1.88
Subnetmask = 255.255.255.0
Defaultgateway = 192.168.1.1
DNS1 =
DNS2 =
FTP to your Xbox (flashfxp, WS_FTP pro, etc..) username & password should both be "xbox"
Copy C & E drive to your PC to xboxhdm -> linux - paste in there
Look in C drive folder you copied, there should be a backup folder & copy eeprom file & goto xboxhdm -> linux -> eeprom - paste in there
Run make-iso-win if your using windows. It should make a iso of linux.
burn the linux iso onto a cdr using Nero - make sure you burn a image file & not a data one.
set your upgrade hd jumper to master
take your pc apart, set it to boot from cdrom -> floppy -> ide0
unplug all your pc hd's, put xbox upgrade hd to the pc's master ide cable & power cable, put the xboxhdm cdr in the cd drive & start it up.
It should boot to xboxhdm, choose option 1, when it is done loading, type in xboxhd. If options 1-5 are available, disregard the following paragraph.
If options 1-5 are disabled, then choose option 6 to generate hd password & then option 7 to make floppy. Hit option 8, take out cdr, leave in floppy & type in reboot. When it is done loading, then type in atapwd & unlock hd with master password "TEAMASSEMBLY", disable hd with the same password. (Enter -> Security -> unlock/disable using masterpassword). You should then be able to reboot to xboxhdm again, choose option 1 again & be able to acces 1-5.
I generally choose option 1 to rebuild hd from scratch. you can format F drive is you choose. After that is done, then reboot to xboxhdm again & goto option 3 with unlocking & locking utilities. Type in "lock -a" & it should lock your hd. Set hd jumper to cable select, put in your xbox & try it out. You should be in business!!
It took me awhile to figure out the hd upgrade using xboxhdm, but I've done it to a 1.0, 1.5 & 1.6b with no problems!! Just need to figure out how to get my xbox to recognize more than 130 gigs? PM me if you have any questions..
