I think cossette would be more knowledgable about the whole technical part of it, so I am going to shoot him a PM.
The 'challenge' was only to find the Software method of unlocking a drive, not explaining how the 0 & 1s are electrically changed. That is not the issue. I have repeated it, told other how to successfully do it & there is a guy on ebay that offers it as a service. LLama wants me to personally walk them through it, but I dont have a Maxtor/WD 'service disc'. My buddy at Best Buy wont give me a copy of the CD.
I have spoke with LLamma & I guess I will need to get them the software to 'win' or prove my case. If anyone has an image or access to a WD or Seagate 'service disc' please let me know, this is not the free disc that comes with your new HD.
