i have the x3 on a 1.6 xbox. everything was working fine and now every once in a while the panel on the front just doesn't light up. usually if i unplugged the xbox and plugged it back in the system would not have this issue, now its never turning on and i am getting a frag code of 5, with the power button blinking green and red. once when i turned on the system the lights on the panel turned on then faded away which leads me to believe the connection.

What do you think could be causing this? I am really new at this and had someone do the soddering for me since i have no idea how to sodder. I am a very technical person, but I have never gotten into soddering yet. The only thing I can think of is that the connection between the x3 and the front panel had either disconnected or came loose?

Any help would be great!

Thanks!

Hi,

if you didnt install the mod yourself i would personally contact the guy who did it for you.. There may be a broken connection with the front panel or maybe even the chip has come loose or soldier has broken.

If you are not very good with soldering then its hard for you to tell by looking.. Dont worry your xbox is fine.. Just get it looked at and all should be sweet.
