alright, iv asked ppl n iv found out that you need a modded dashboard to play backups, please correct me if im wrong, but live bans u if u have a diff dash, so how do i get it so the dash can be hidden or something when i go on live. do i need a special modchip, im asking this cuz i havnt ordered my modchip yet.

Most 4th Generation Modchips come with some way or another to disable them which then allows you to play on Live. Now, there are a few stipulations on that though, if you've upgraded your HD AFTER you've already been on live, more than likely, you'll get banned. BUT, if you upgrade your HD before you EVER sign onto live, you should be fine. There are some other ways of getting back on Live after getting banned, but I wouldn't worry about those until the time comes, and hopefully it never does.
Most chips nowadays allow you to edit how you want to disable them. Some actually have external switches, such as the X3, but most have some sort of setting that you would use to disable it, such as powering the console on using the eject button or a key on your controller, etc.
