Hey,

I'm having trouble connecting with Flash FXP. My Evox settings look like this:
Setup Network Yes
Use Static IP No
IP 192.168.1.103
Sub. 255.255.255.0
Default Gate. 192.168.1.1
DNS 0.0.0.0
DNS 0.0.0.0
Setup Delay 0

I am the definition of the word Newbie and just wondering if these settings look ok. ANY help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks,

U_M Very Happy

Those settings look okay, but are they in your same IP range of your PC.

Those settings look like you are using a router, yes?

Go to your PC and press the start button:

Then, select All programs, accessories, command promp.

At the command promp type, ipconfig

Write down the IP address that you see there.

If it's 192.168.1.100 then you are in the correct range. The last three digits can end in 101-102-103 etc... It's the third set of numbers that I am curious about.

But, if your pc ip says something like, 192.168.0.100 then you have to change your IP in evox to match that range.

You would change it to 192.168.0.101 or 192.168.0.102 , you see what I mean.

24.215.77.238 is your router's ip to the outside world. the 192.168.1.103 is an internal network ip.

Nope, no router involved in my attempted operation. And i've tried changing my IP's...doesn't seem to work. I keep getting a "timed out" in FXP. I have no idea what the hell i'm doing wrong as i've read all the tutorials on this site and others and i still can't get this to work!!! I'm so frustrated, but I won't give up. Any suggestions?? Thanks,

U_M

Change the pc ip to 192.168.0.1/24 and xbox ip to 192.168.0.2/24. Don't make it more difficult. The only thing you want to do is FTP...

Also change Static IP to yes
