yo guys,
i've had my setup working wonderfully lately. Then, i took on a project for a friend. He wanted me to instal a bigger hd (80 gb)and roms for his box. So being the kid i am i agreed. I opened his box and discovered its a 1.0. I immediately thought "WOOHOO! Easy instal for my spider chip" .... well as luck would have it i ran into a problem. To minimize doing work on his box I put his new hd in my modded 1.6 and formatted it, unleash X, emus, roms, etc. on it. Then I reflashed my chip to evox m8 +1.6 F.C. (so i wouldnt look for the 137+ gb hd). Checked it and the chip worked fine still. So then I plopped out the chip, and put it in my friend's box to lock the hd. Put his new 80gb in there and ... 1 ... 2... 3... frag ... took out the chip put it back in my box, and it worked fine. I've installed this same spider chip in at least 1 of every version xbox so I know i installed it right (even checked the website). WTF Mates? lol. Do i have to clear out the LPC holes or something??? cause none of the other wires are touchin nor are they in any other holes. please help, I'm trying to get this finished asap. the evox m8plus_16 is for xbox versions 1.6-1.6b. if you still have the m8plus_16 bios on the spiderchip and put it in your friends v1.0 xbox it will not boot.. you just need to use the evox m8plus bios. _________________ [RIP Radio]

look i know its installed right and its a spider chip v1.0 btw. But ya thats my question ... how do i get the chip to sit right cause thats what i thought the prob was.... can i just poke through the soder in the lpc holes???? and if so ... what do you recommend doing it with?
