Recently I bought an Xbox with a 160. GB hard drive and a mod chip. I hooked it up to my network but it will not connect. It just simply says "could not connect xbox live." Does anybody know what I need to do in order to get around it to connect on xbox live. My connections are good and everything on the network works fine. Please somebody help me out!

Go into the network troubleshooter and make sure that you're getting an IP address and DNS address and that everything is working right. If it isn't, try resetting your router and xbox. If that doesn't fix it, let us know! _________________ XBOX v1.6c

Yes, let it autoconfig for you.
Just make sure you have your stock bios running otherwise, you'll get banned your first time on XBL.
