Posted: Sun Jan 30, 2005 1:49 am Post subject: DVDs and HDD XBEs not loading after evox 3935 install
Hello,
I have an issue with the DVD and HDD in my XBOX v1.4, ALX2+R3 mod, Alx2+R3 Blue Bios. I have just used Slayers Auto Installer 2.6 with a new 80 gig WD HDD. All was fine until a cold boot of the xbox. Before the cold boot I could play all discs (backups and origianls) with no issue. I could load all the applications on the HDD. After th cold boot, The DVD reads the disks but wont load any .xbe files. It tries but it just reverts back to the evox menu. The apps that use to work have all stopped working. I have reformatted a few times and the same thing happens each time.
I have swapped the retail HDD back and everything works fine again. Does any one know if there is some sort of chip in the Xbox that differentaites on what HDD is in the xbox. It seems to only happen with the new HDD. Has any one any ideas?

hi,
very strange.. I would format again using XBOXHQ AUTOINSTALLER from scratch.. Then install evox and other stuff using the DVD-R..
Dont forget you must LOCK your new XBOX HDD using CONFIG MAGIC once you have formatted it and installed everything. If you dont LOCK YOR HDD when you turn off your XBOX MODCHIP yuo will get a ERROR.
