I've downloaded the entire first season of 24. There are 24 .avi files and I would like to be able to play them on a dvd player and not just my xbox. Is there a way to make them playable and also put more than just 1 per disk. Maybe some way to build a menu into each disk.
I realize that this is completely unrelated to xbox but I figured this was a good places to get a few techies to see the problem and maybe come up with a solution for me. _________________ XBOX v1.1:

if you would want to register at Suprnovaforums they have a tutorial ( in the tutorials area ) that goes through the entire process, including pictures and links to where to get the software. the process is quite intensive and the encoding is usually left to run overnight, it takes THAT long to do! you should just FTP them onto your xbox and watch them with XBMC, that what i do, but my pesky girlfriend wants me to make her some DVD's, so i'm in the same boat as you and will be finding out how to do this.

lol one last post DVD Santa looks to be the easiest route:
"DVD Santa is an All-in-One software that lets you copy, create, convert and burn your DVD movies. It can copy 9GB double layer DVD movies into a 4.7GB DVD-R disc, can turn your photos into DVD movies with Hollywood style motion effects, can convert other video formats(avi, wmv, vob, asf, DivX, Mpeg,...) into DVD video, can transfer miniDV camcorder tapes directly to DVD video. dvdSanta is extremely easy to use, fast and powerful. "
it costs $$ though i found it on torrentstop don't know if its cracked or if you still need a serial number or what not

There is an alternative for doing all that encoding too.
All you need to do is purchase a Panasonic dvd player that will play ANYTHING you throw at it. I recently purchased one and it's proved invaluable due to the thousands of DIVX movies I have. So basically I have almost every major movie I can watch. It plays Divx, XVid, anything, it's really quite nice, and for only 70 bucks at Target, it's quite a steal! _________________ XBOX v1.6c

I use Nero 6 Ultra Edition....download right from their site...I have even heard that you can get serials off the net
Part of Nero 6 is Nero Vision Expess. Its really easy to use. Select Make Movie....drag and drop your imported movie files and select a template for your "menu". Each AVI file will be a chapter. When you go to burn, there are some advanced options you can choose....if you play around with those (ie: long play, standard play), you can get quite a lot on one DVD.
