Ok, I dont have one. What does it do? I feel like I might be missing out and I just cant allow that to happen.

LCD means liquid crystal display. Basically all the flat screens (ie PC monitors). In the case of modchips they can display various info such as BIOS, HD space, temp, ect. I dont have one as evox tells me most of these things...some of the higher end ones can be customized to display pretty much anything. Check out the xenium websit to check out their newest one...looks pretty sweet in the video, just a little unnecessary in my opinion.

I installed one for a customer once.....it was a bitch!

However, the new front case panels that have areas cut out already will be nice.... The install though, was somewhat a pain in the ass. A lot of wires to solder!!

Some of the newer chips are coming with quick connectors though, so maybe those wouldn't be as bad. I installed one on a SmartXX and wasn't fun Smile

I have not fitted on for the smartxx but the x3lcd seemed to go in fine.
