I installled an x2.6 to v1.4 xbox. When i boot up box i see the "xecuter" under the the xbox logo, so i know it is installed correctly. However no matter what type of dvd-r or cd-rw i use the xbox gives me the the "your xbox can't recognize this disc. Make sure it's an xbox disc...." warning. The xbox drive is a samsung, so it should recognize most discs i believe. Also i am using qwix101 to create xiso and nero to burn. Anyone have any ideas?

OK it sounds like it still could be a media problem.
Qwix is pretty reliable in making ISOs etc.
BTW, what are you trying to run on your Xbox?

Try a copied dvd too, it's unlikley but could be a dodgy laser/drive if it won't read stuff.

is the main file on the cd you're trying to burn called evoxdash.xbe or default.xbe? It needs to be called default.xbe before it can boot off a cd.

normal games, dvd's and audio cd's all work fine. I don't have anything burned to test out besides the iso.

Maybe try another ISO to burn.
If you are wanting to set your xbox up or something like that, try my Auto-Installer Deluxe v1.01. It's got everything you'd ever need and more.

I did find out that none of the discs i have been burning work on my onther modded (and fully funtional) xbox. It is a v1.0 with an x2.3b lite in it. I at one point thought the problem might have my dvd-rw drive, so i burned a cd-rw on a off of a different computer. So i would have to assume that there is something wrong either my process in making iso's or in burning them. I have followed the tutorial's on this website pretty closely. So if anyone has noticed something that might have been left out of them or something i may have missed, i would greatly appreciatte your input. thanx.
