Hi reascently modded my xbox with a x3 chip and installed everything i needed to get going from auto-installer deluxe i saw my friend a few days later and told him what i had done.he asked if would mod his xbox for him and i agreed .upon opening his xbox i noticed his cd drive was different,a phillips.mine is a thompson.when i got to the motherboard i noticed another difference he has a conexant chip and mine is a focus.his chip flashed fine with the 1959 bios(as mine did)but when i tried to install a dash or anything it keeps saying error .does anyone know why this is?ive used various types of media and have had no joy.i have a feeling its a hdd problem and not the chip as the light on the chip is blue(active).please help. _________________ V1.4

Um... did you remember to unlock the HDD using X3 Config Live? If not let the box boot up the X3CL and then go in an find the command to unlock the hdd.. then reboot with the AID 1.01 disk and see if you can install.
