Hi All
I have chipped about 110 xboxes in the last 2 years or so but i have just done my first crystal xbox 1.6 and it has been a right pain.
I am using a xecuter 2.6 and lpc rebuild pcb (cromwell 3.03).
The xbox works fine with chip off and works fine with chip on ie cromwell bios boot up all ok. I have used the network option (from cromwell) to load 512k bios to banks 1/2. Flashing goes with no problems. i have used all bios`s from the auto installer delux disk and various ftp download sites. all the bios`s i have used have been m8, m8 plus , m8 16. but no matter what bios i use i get the same promlem- after a successfull flash and shut down i restart the xbox it boots , the exox icon appears in the left hand corner of the screen and a few seconds later the xbox shuts down and restarts shuts and restrts shuts down and restrts etc etc.
I have used 512k bios`s from the auto installer disk i have also resized 256k bios and tried that. I have also flashed from cdrw but i still get the same problem.
Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated

either try using 1mb bios from the installer ,
or make a 1mp image out of 2 512 images
of course evoxm8plus16
and flash your chip with the 1 mb image _________________ Xbox v1.0/1.1/1.5/1.6a

1MB Bios did the trick mate
