Hello,
As you can see I'm very new to this but I don't think I'm a dipshit. Remember I said I! Anyway, I modded my son's xbox Sunday(missing football game) It's a brand new ver. 1.6 with a samsung dvd drive. We installed a Xenium ice chip ( ver. 2.0 ) and also installed a 160 gig hard drive. I was told to download autoinstaller deluxe to put all the programs I need on the xbox. ( did that) I read manual , not real helpful. I used the dummy cd program to change .iso file. It made the new one, then what? Do I copy the new file to a CD ? Do I copy the temp Dir to a CD?
How do I boot from that in the xbox? Do I bring the xbox up like I'm going to play a game and put CD in?
Please Help

first you have to flash your chip with hacked bios ,
you can only use evox M8 plus 16 bios for your xbox
power on the xbox , put the cd in , then power it down ..
power on again with the cd in the drive , it might take a few tries before
it starts up ,

download the evoxm8plus16 bios ... you can get it from here or
xbins , get the 256k version ,
hook up your xbox to the network ,
somewhere in the xenium os it should show you what the xbox ip is ,
then type that ip in the internet explorer , you will get the xenium menu,
there is a flash option , click that and follow the menus , its easy ,
make sure the bios is in .bin form not .zip or .rar
remember evoxm8plus16 bios is the only bios u can use for your xbox

now put the autoinstaller cd in , reboot the xbox and boot the bios you just flashed on the chip ,
the installer should boot if your iso burn is good ,
then install msdash , a hacked dash to c:\ and apps and emus

I downloaded the M8plus16 bios from here. after unzipping it there where 3 files:
M8plus.bin
M8plus_16.bin
info
I added new item to launch menu and chose D: M*plus_16. I take that dvd out and put in one with Autoinstall deluxe on it and it tells me bad DVD. What an I doing wrong?Terabyt1 _________________ Xenium Ice 2.0

keep trying , sometimes it takes a few tries before it starts up ,
try burning on different media , dvd-r dvd+r cd-rw and try each one a few times ,

one other thing ,
if you have the autoinstaller deluxe 1.0 it might not start because your harddrive is not formated ,
use a different autoinstaller to format the drive first then use the 1.0 deluxe to reformat and install stuff ,

My kid has been saving game on it. (hard drive) It's 160 gig and when I formated it with xenium it part. like 5 drives. How would I format it with another program other then the xenuim one?

if you formatted it with xenium then you should be good to go with booting the installer,

Actually, there is a fix for the autoinstaller deluxe not booting with unformatted drives.
I have tried it and it works fine, so no need to use another installer. You can just redo the deluxe AI following these instructions. That way you can still use the kick ass installer that DJB and forahobby slaved over.
DVD not booting (Remove Intro Fix)
This could be several issues, DVD Media, Modchip not in properly, etc etc.
The best tip I can give is burn the ISO at 1x for DVD using the latest version of DVD Decrypeter, and verify it.
There has been some instances where removing the intro from the Auto-Installer has allowed it to boot, this is what this post is mainly about...
PLEASE NOTE you will have to use the Recreate tool provided with the distribution of Auto-Installer Deluxe.
Solution:
1) Copy the aid10.iso file to the Recreate folder
2) Run the start.bat file. Halfway through this it will prompt you to make any changes before continuing.
3) There is a temp directory created in the Recreate folder which contains all the files. Firstly, delete the default.xbe file. Then, make a copy of install.xbe and rename it to default.xbe. Now place it where the original default.xbe was.
4) Continue the Recreate program, and it will produce an ISO called aid10new.iso
5) Burn the aid10new.iso using DVD Decrypter at 1x w/ verify.
