hello everyone
im pretty sure i have a 1.6 because i just bought it.
Im looking at two different chips.
either the:
Smart XX v.2 halloween edition
or the
Xecuter 3 with the led switch that goes under your XboX
which one is best for using with:
XBOX LIVE
i do not want to get my xbox banned
and i have another quick qeustion:
Is installing Slayors Auto Installer safe
if so is there any certain way to install it
could u explain it to me!!!!

Get the SmartXX and the LPC Rebuild PCB that it comes with. You will thank me for it!! It will take at least an hour off of your mod unless you do a lot, then it will only shave maybe a half hour off of your time.
Both chips are fine for XBL.
However, has this machine already been on XBL yet? If so, do not change your HD unless you plan on using an Xtender kit and having multiple HD's.
MS is banning over HD issues too.

okay good because i was wanting to get the SmartXX v.2 neways
but i have another qeustion...
Is there a switch for the SmartXX v.2 like the $20 for the Xecuter?
I really like the leds and switches in the front like that.
If there is can u give me the names of them/ it and maybe a link or write a tutorial on how to install it yourself????
Also with the xtender thing can i have the Slayers evox installed or not???

Smartxx do not make a switch, but you could just add your won HDD leds etc if you wanted.
Slayers is just an installer, it's ok but a bit out fo date, try the auto-installer deluxe

Hiya
Most chips nowadays do not need an external switch, they just use the power/eject buttins or it's done through the OS.
Smartxx is done through the OS, you choose which bios to boot from the OS, be it retail or hacked

For my money I would go with an X3 Chip. With the new solderless adapter it can be installed in minutes. I just finished installing 15 soldered pin header installs on XBoxes for people who received them as Xmas gifts. The new control panel looks so nice that I am buying one for my modded XBox.
BTW, the X3Chip now also comes with a LPC rebuild kit. Again...each of the above 15 took less than an hour to do start to finish including the flashing of the bios.

If you can solder I would go with a pin-header install, I don't like solderless, give it time and it will mess up.
