lets say i insert a dvd with raw data such as my back up psx titles. if i use just a raw data disc and ISO files (after the dash is loaded) will i be able to play said titles? or will it need cd detection?
also when i inserted the auto installer deluxe to the xbox, it froze, and in when inserted after dashboard load, it froze @ the AId load screen, and i made sure to insert a dummy load file in the aid disc i had creeated
When I first used it I thought it froze to, just wait for like 3 minutes and it will show up.
It didn't freeze don't worry. _________________

Okay under E or F, create a folder called Emulators, then simply drag the directory of the emulator/emulators you want into the folder and upload them. _________________

moved the folders to E:\Emulators, no luck. do they need to be rar files? they are just regular folders. and there is no F: folder
is there a way to link a keyboard and mouse to the xbox? i have it on my DC and i like the basicness of it, plus the integration into games, which was cool (im sure in the XBOX it wouldnt have much use past the dash)

So you created a folder and the path looks like 'E:\Emulators' and then you would put your Emulators in the folder, so it would look similar to this 'E:\Emulators\Nintendo 64' and then in the Nintendo 64 folder should be a file called default.xbe, if there is a '.xbe' file that is not names 'default', change it. And then try again. Good luck.
And yes that is correct, the DVD Drive will be recognized as the format on the disc. _________________

Thanks bro, it depends what dashboards you use, some dashboards dont have a file browser which means you can't transfer things like roms from your DVD/CD to Hard Drive. Anyways, inside the emulator folder, should be another folder called roms, so for example it would look similar to this 'E:\Emulators\Nintendo 64\Roms'. You are going to want to put your roms in that folder.
Good Luck! _________________

There is no such thing as a EXE (Windows Executable) on the Xbox, there is a XBE (XBox Executable) though. And it depends on the dashboard, XBMC (XBox Media Center) Dashboard has a AMAZING media player, so it supports pretty much every single video type and codec out there. And some emulators can run roms off of a DVD/CD but not all of them. And in order to make them run off a DVD/CD, you will problably have to modify the configuration file to search your DVD Drive for Roms.
