Hi,
i recently got an xbox, i've been reading about modchip and sotmod then i found AID which have a nice manual but i still have some questions.

I've checked my xbox with the xbox bios checken and i can see my modchip is a SST 49LF02 and is using a BIOS EvoX M7 EjectFix. And for loading my Evox Dashboard i must press the button until it gets orange twice.

So i want to know if i can upgrade my bios with EvoX M8 Plus. And i want to upgrade my dashboard and install many apps so i don't know if i must use the oneclick for sotfmod or modchip.

Hello,

Your modchip will accept any 256kb Bios. you can upgrade to the M8 (theres nothing wrong with the M7) but you will still have to do your special button press thing.

Use the Modchip options on the AID disc.

You will love AID.. Lots of hard work from DJB on that one.. Smile
With a modchip your pretty safe and can always use AID to recover from most errors without a prob.
