Could anyone please tell me what replacement disk drives would work for a V1.0 BOX? Some people told me "Samsung, Philips, or Thomson"...but could anyone be a little more specific (Model Name).

Those are the names..
You can either put in an Xbox DVD Drive made by Thompson, Phillips, or Samsung. Those are the only three companies that make the Drives for Xbox.
I currently have only Thompsons in stock right now if you want to purchase one. The Thompson drive is the least expensive drive you can purchase, but it's a little more picky on the media you use. For instance, it really likes DVD-R's, but it's a little pickier with CDRW's. You typically have to purchase the higher end CDRW's.
The Phillips Drive is a little faster in the reading area and slightly less selective as far as what brands of media it reads.
The Samsung is very quick in it's reading/ripping, and will read more disks. For instance it will read a lot of CDR's too.
You can find vendors who sell replacement drives online via a google search, check some of our sponsors, or even some of the members here like myself who also have modding sites. We have people in the states and overseas depending where you are from.

I sold one before for around $80.00, it was my personal unit. Xboxboxster bought it from me, but now that I have started buying items in bulk I can sell them for around $69.95.
Unfortunately, I won't have any for a couple weeks as I just ordered 25 machines, and I am sure a few of them should have Sammy's in them.
