Hi - Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with editing the logo at boot. The XBOX Logo and the Microsoft logo.
I've got several progs which apparently used together can edit it ALL to ANYTHING you want!! )
The tutorial I have says first load the template into 3ds max 7 - I have the software, but no template. This must be the XBOX logo template - which i dont have, and I'm not sure how to get.
Basically I just want to play around with the text and make it say 'Mat's XBOX' instead, or whatever... ;o)
Any help on this one would be really appreciated )

I knew it could be done with software but have never had the time to go looking.. Do we have the software on XBOX-HQ too? Maybe if we dont you could quickly click UPLOAD FILE and attach them for us!
This will also get other members interested in doing the same thing and will help you!... What is the program called that you actually use to do it.. I cant remember mate.. I have so many new apps etc and news its very hard to keep up.
I used KernelBasher 1.0b to change the flubber animation to red, black, and white (to match the case, ), but haven't found how to change the Logo's color. The text can be done with KernelBasher, but like Mat said, you need 3DSMX, which I don't have (and I have 56k, so downloading the trial will take a while... ).
Anyway, I got KB from Xbox-Hq, somewhere in the apps section.
To use it, you load whatever BIOS file you're using (either FTPd from your xbox, or a copy of it on your PC) and make the changes you'd like, then click Patch. It will create a file named BASHED.bin in the same directory as where the BIOS file was on your PC, which you'll rename and flash to your chip.
Apparently xlogo can change the final loading screen's color, but I can't find it anywhere on Xbox-Hq or elsewhere. If anyone has info or questions on anything, feel free to PM me.

That sounds like a pretty cool thing to do. I know you can do some minor modifications with EvTool and XBtool, but I never knew you could add your own text.
When I have some time I'll play around with that concept and those programs mentioned and I'll post a tutorial here how to do it.
I think that would be a cool addon for all of my customers to have something personalized like that.

I've found that between XBTool (or EVTool if using Evox M, Kernel Basher, and FanCbox, you can edit the flubber animation and splash screen pretty much any way you'd like.

Changing the x logo quite frankly a pain in the arse, 3dsMAX isnt for the faint hearted, ive used Lightwave for years and the thought of Max still causes me palpitations.
Ive attempted this mod once, using illustrator .ai file imported into max to check and modify the Vertices than exported it as a .DXF to then import into Deep Exploration to invert.
And it came out as a big mess
Im waiting for someone to write an app that just "does it".
Good luck on the tutorial, your gonna need it, this is hardcore baby.
