I have had my xbox modded now for probably about 3 years, and now just a couple of days ago I turn my xbox on and now the problem starts. Flashing led light and a strange screen with "oops somethings wrong" error 13. I have read some of the forums, mostly all of them, and found that I just needed to install a new dash to my dashboard. Downloaded AID v4.3 burned to a DVD-R, DVD+R, and a CD R. No luck. The DVD's sound like they are loading but never actually boot the program, and I am just stuck with the big XBOX sign with Xecuter Rox my Box. The Cd R does nothing but return to the Error 13 screen. Not for sure what version modchip I have, any help would be greatly appreciated. I need my BOX! Mad

Burn AID on the DVD-R on the slowest speed you can.

Also, AID can take a while to boot up because it has a huge config file so let it sit there for 2 minutes or so before you turn it off.

Yeah i put it on a DVD-R at 2x speed using the DVD Decrypter and still nothing. I thought I let it sit for awhile, at least 2 min.'s, but it never loaded. Will try again though.

If that does not fix it you may have to try a different brand of DVD-R.

This time left it on for about 5 - 10 min.'s and still nothing. Right now I am using Maxell DVD-R and DVD+R. Will using a differnent brand make that big of a difference? And what is the difference in using a CD RW instead of a CD R? I haven't used the CD RW yet. I know some of the post used the CD RW and it worked so I will pick up one tomorrow. Any specific brand I should look at for the DVD-R?

Each xbox is different. One of my xboxes I have here will read TDK DVD-R's but my other one wont. Since nothing is set in stone, you just have to try a different brand and hope it works.

I may have a bigger problem than expected, Im not exactly sure though. i tried another brand of DVD-R and it still didn't work, but then I tried to boot a game and it wouldn't even load it, just kept re-starting after the attempted load. When I turn the chip off, to try to load, I only get the red flashing led. I know the drive works cause I watched a movie on it before I got the error 13 message. Maybe I am making it bigger than what it is not for sure. Will continue to use different DVD-R and hopefully that will work.

I also just checked but the ISO File in the AID is larger than what my DVD-R will hold. I downloaded the Lite version of the latest release. Is there something else I need to do in order to make the file size smaller or will it still load even though some info is missing? Please help

Are you just burning the ISO file or the full folder and all its content?

Alright I did something stupid. This time I fully extracted the ISO file into a different folder. I thought once you double clicked the rar file it would automatically do it but this was a view a copy, just showing what the rar file was compressing. But anyhow burned this copy, which is a quarter of the size I mentioned above, with DVD Decrypter and I still can not get it to boot. Am I suppose to add something to go along with the ISO file, cause all i burned on to the dvd was the ISO

You could always rebuild your HDD with xboxhdm if you can't get AID to book.

I assume your using a softmod so if you still have the savegame and exploit on your HDD try to boot that up. If you can get it to the softmod menu you can ftp from there so you could ftp the ms dash to your xbox.

No my xbox is hard modded, cant remember what type of version xecuter mod chip I have though. So how do I go about rebuilding my hdd? Is this the only choice I have since the AID wont boot? And will this wipe my hdd clean?
