Greets to all.
I modded a new 1.6 box; manuf 4/04 (my second successful mod) with an X3 and everything is working great EXCEPT that backups of my games that worked with Xecuter 2.6 Pro won't read with the cheap ^%$#! Phillips drive. I had a Tompson in the old box. I opened the drive and it doesn't even have a laser assembly black plastic shroud covering the laser workings.
As cash is tight I can't buy a nice Samsung or LG premod'd drive...so I thought I'd use the pot tweek recipe except NONE of the pictures in the tuts on this or affliliate sites matches the laser assembly.
Anybody run into this with a failry new 1.6 box and if so...did a pot tweek work?
Thanks! Shocked

Yes, I ran into that problem but what I ended up doing was reburning my backups to a different brand of DVD-R and all worked fine.
