Holdning the white button (not sure that this was the actual "breaking point") got it to work. Tried to burn it on a Fujifilm CD-RW and got it to boot and installed it well!

I was rude? I was actually trying to add a smiley face but it kept putting it at the bottom of the post instead after the first few lines. Regardless I don't see how after reading my entire post you would consider that rude.

Cool, good to know it straightened out now. I thought for sure it was the DVD drive either being disabled at the bios or failing.
