I looked at the board again...duh to me The two was at then end of the wrapping of the cap so I couldn't see it well. If you want to, pm me your address or where you'd like a cap sent to and I'll post it to you. Have a dead board here with a cap that you need. I pulled the memory off it already for another board.

I came across another thread you had about installing the leds under the jewel. Is this the same xbox? Got me thinking about things.

What did you decide on for voltage, and where did connect to? My suggestion is when you get the capacitor, is to unhook the leds for now. I just want to make sure we are starting fresh, and we can go from there. I'm wondering if there might have been too much of a load, and that's why the cap discharged. I've had a couple of boards kicking around and no problems. the caps usually don't leak for no reason, but, it does happen. If it's done wrong, you might kill the harddrive or dvd-rom.

I run mine with an LCD screen built in 2 cold lights and 2 80mm fans plus a few leds added for kicks so i dont think 8 leds would burn it up.

If the jewel is to be red i would do red on all but the X part of the box and do the X in white with the red jewel and maybe change the eject leds to white for a red face plate.

KK thanks for the idea sir wes I have just finished painting yesterday looks good but the jewel halo is not very bright T_T but ok below are some pics
BTW when I finished painting and I put everything back in the box top on and dvd drive in when I booted it up..... It showed cromwell so I restarted it just to be sure and yes It started again so I opened up the cover showing the dvd and HDD bay and yes It still booted up but when I took out the HDD bay with DVD drive still in it would not work anymore T_T when It boots up sometimes it shows flashing red and green or flashing orange I think loose capacitor because under the HDD bay there are several big capacitors I wondered If they were causing it so I wiggled them a Around a bit and the wires underneath the HDD bay then after a couple of tries to boot it up it showed cromwell again so I put the HDD bay back in the case and shut it all up again then nomore cromwell it went back to flashing orange or red and green T_T

Here is a huge list of HDD's that work and as for size i never had need for any more then 300GB but thats up to you.
If you are going to use live you will need to keep the C and E drive as stock as you can bro.
