Hi I have a problem with my xbox. It has an aladdin advanced 64 mod chip installed on the motherboard. I used slayers auto installer v2.7 to get the harddrive ready and install the dashboards and apps. It boots up fine but there is ONE problem. "it only loads SERTAIN games". doesn't matter if there originals or not. It booted medal of honor frontline, all 3 star wars games call of duty 1..., (2 of which are not an original) but it will not boot Halo 2, brother in arms earned it blood, robin hood, ice age 2.... I can copy them onot the hard drive but it doesn't load them there either. It knows that the game is in the dvd drive or on the harddrive but when i wan't to load it all it does is try's to load for a couple seconds then just resets the dashboard.
I have already cleared tha cashe, THER are NO save game files, I have turned of IGR in the evo.ini file (in all three areas) and I have tried differned dashboards, msdash, wmc, uleashx and so on. just can't get it to work. IF any of u could help me out PLEASe i need it thansk

ok
1.It may be your dvd drive, check and find out what kind it is for us! google will help with that.
2.How are you copying the games to your hdd. if your not using DVD2XBOX, i would STRONGLY suggest using it. If so then im not exactly sure what your problem is other than having a bad hdd.
it its a maxtor hard drive and yes i am using dvd2xbox to copy them but HEY SOME work like call of duty 1 and s tuff. but hey its ant the hard drive because it also doesn't load RETAIL games like halo 2 OF THE DVD just starts loading that resets the dashboard smae with ripps i have of other games on dvd r

I would clear the contents of the E:\Cache folder, as well as clearing everything from drives X, Y and Z if you have them. After doing that, reboot the Xbox and try again.
I do NOT belive it is the dvd drive. Since it DOES read some games RIPPS and ORIGINALS. IT actualy READS them ALL. like if i put halo in it will tell you that halo 2 is in the dvd drive but when it tries to load it, it stops after 5 seconds and just reloads the dashboard. its a version 1.0 xbox. the same thing happens when i copy the game onto the hard drive. either with ftp from my comp (with the games i downloaded) or with using dvd2xbox. i jus don't get it

have you tried going into your file explorer of vunleashx or xbmc and try and start a game on your hdd from the default.xbe.
maybe your lens on your dvd-drive needs cleaning.

that would only be if it read all original games. IT HAS nothing to do with the hard ware anyway i DO NOT belive so. I can't even begin to think what might be causing this. I will state AGAIN. It reads select ORIginal games (all the star war titles i own, medal of honor frontline, the sands of time, (and some copy's that i have, "star wars battlefrong" It doesn't matter if i copy then onto the hard drive same thing happens (says loading then dashboard reboots) NO error messages. i have downloaded call of duty, halo 2 ftp'd them onto the hard drive SAME thing happens (says loading then dashboard reboots) I Used slayers auto installer final to install everthing. FIgured that could be the probelm to i use auto installer deluxe v 4.3 to format the drive and install the dashboard and software. STill did the same hting. WHY do SOME games load and other NOT. ANd yah they are ALL north american releases NOT PAL> SO i got TOTLY NO IDEA whats wrong

I am wondering if updating the bios COuld potencialy solve the problem ? right now i have NO idea which bios is flashed to the chip as it says UNKNOWN. The mod chip is an aladdin advanced 64. Could i flash it with the iND-BiOS.5003. It is on the compatibility list of the mod chip and this is the best bios i have seen. IF this could POtencialy fix my problem what is the simplest way of flashing it (as i have the bios file) and what is involved thanks
