Ok so I am trying to softmod a used xbox I picked up and I am running into a nightmare. I made my own AR using a usb and the "dongle"(?) from an extra controller. It works great, xbox read and formatted my usb. So I go to my computer load up the AR software and place the 2 Splinter Cell gamesaves onto my usb stick. Everything looks to be working and AR shows the info on the stick. I remove the stick from the port, go ot my XBOX, plug it in and go to Memory. There I find a blank memory card, nothing on it. So I take a few saves off my hard drive and put them on the stick. The transfer goes off without a hitch. I take the stick to my computer plug it up and AR shows just the Splinter Cell Files I uploaded to begin with.
So there in lies my problem. I've been working on this, trying different things for about 18 hrs and I am at a loss. I would think if the XBOX and the AR software both read the stick it should be compatible but please let me know if this is incorrect. It seems that the info that I write to the stick via the AR software is not able to be read on the XBOX and vice versa.

ok, so on the MS Dashboard, you go to: memory, them press left or right depending on which port you use. Then it still doesnt show them on there?
Also u may need to go in and edit the driver to make action replay see it as an AR if you havent already.
Thanks for the reply. I actually figured it out. The USB stick I was using corrupted the saves on either system. I tried another USB that is definately on the "will work" list and it went off without a hitch. I can't believe how easy it was and how hard I was trying to make it
Thanks for all your help. These forms have givin me so many ideas, I see a lot of sleepless nights in my future. I'm sure I'll be coming back to these forums for a loooooong time as this was just the beginning (of a master plan to take over the world....)
