i'm little bit confused.....

I have a Xbox Crystal i want to SoftMod. The HDD has not been updated. I want to be able to use XBMC for streaming.

Now which package do i use:

SID
AID
Softmod Installer

Also, will the Full version fit or do i have to use the Lite? As i learn more and more, no doubt i will want to play with extras too.

You want to softmod with SID5 and AID has all the Apps dashes and so on.

Thanks. I dont have a AR memory card but have bought a usb to xbox cable so will use that.

I will also go for the UnleashX dash since alot of people think this is better one.

i shall give it ago tonight is see what happens, either it will work or i will brick it.

Doing some more reading, which AID options shall i install, shall i just install the whole thing..... mayt be just easier.

i would just install all the emulators and most of the apps theres a lot of apps that you prolly wont use but install em all directly from the AID disk if u want

Sik is right, if you have them on disk and as often as add ons come out there is no need to use up HDD space on it.

Thanks for your help. I tried it yesterday and it worked. I am using the UnleshX dash and installed a few apps ie DVD2XBOX, XBMC, PALNTSC Switcher.

I have managed to locate an 250GB HDD, which is the best and easiest way to do it on the softmoded Xbox.

If the xbox is a ver. 1.0 - 1.5 i would go with the chimp method.

That sucks, at the bottom of the chimp guide you will see a link to how to use chimp with telnet.

If thats just a big ol pain you could always try the xboxHDM method. Wink
