hello everyone,
about a week ago i brought a Western Digital 500 gig hardrive for my xbox, i had everything running fine untill i went to play a video, now anywhere from 2 minutes into the start to right at the end of the video it would just stop.
i then found out that i should format F which has about 492gig in it with 32k clusters. i did this with XBPartitioner V1.0, which i just copied to C and ran it from there.
i then installed xbmc from slayers disc, but now when i have xbmc running and start ftping to it the files over about 250mb will stop transfering, then i look at the xbox and as i move the curser everything dissapears so i have to restart.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou

A man what bios you running?
What FTP do you use?
You might want to try running both F and a G drive, both formated to 32k clusters.

I just formatted F and G partitions to about 225 gig each and both with 32k clusters but the same thing happens.
i am using the evox M8 bios and the Xecuter x2 5032 bios, i have tried both with no success.
the ftp programs i use are FileZilla and FlashFXP and i have triend both with no luck.
i have now got AID V4.20 Lite if that helps.
Cheers,
Jamie

i tried that but nothing happend and i even tried formatting E to make sure everything was deleted.
once i ftp a file into the xbox it wont let me delete it or anything unless i format the whole thing again.
i just remembered that when G drive is formatted in 32k clusters and is roughly 350 gig or so in size files transfer to that fine its just F. i had F formatted in 32k clusters aswell and it was about 130 gig or so.
another thought would be to stick my 12 gig back in it and buy a NAS case. with the NAS case would i beable to save and run MY games off it? or would the connection be too slow?
Thanks for your help, its greatly appreciated

i think i might just use the G partition for all my large files because F is screwed, i can use F for all my music though.
Thanks for your help,
Cheers,
Jamie
