hi all ,
sometime ago i bought an xbox for 35€ here in the netherlands, with the intention to use it as an media center
after some research i stumbled upon this (GREAT) site and the SID 5 tool.
i then first bought an usb female => xbox controller cable, and tried a couple of usb sticks, for a cheap memory solution. 3 of those didnt work, but the 4th worked!
i could transfer a game on it using action replay xbox 1.4, and when i inserted the usb stick in my xbox the xbox could see the savegames, but couldnt copy them to the HD.
no problem i thought it could have been the usb stick all along, so i bought a official, and original, xbox memory unit.
i mounted a usb MALE cable onto my xbox xontroller with some soldering, so i could use the controller as a USB memory unit reader. then i inserted the memory unit in the controller, and after the installation of the driver (wich came from Datel wich is the creater of the action replay software) i could succesfully upload the savegames onto the memory unit
but when i inserted the memory unit in my second controller, i had a deya vu; the xbox could see the savegames, but it didnt gave me an option of putting it on the hard disk (see picture) very VERY frustrating.
i then unmouted the usb cable from the controller and screwed it back together, and tried to use that controller as the card eader on the xbox, but no luck either. i think i broke it because it wont connect with my wireless controller anymore, and it didnt see that the memory unit was inserted. (the brand is dolphix)
i tried to google for an awnser but no succes... so if any1 got a suggestion?
so for the summary:
i am unable to copy a savegame from a usb disk AND from a official memory card onto my xbox.

It should transfer across like any other game save. Highlight SID, press right to get to the save, then copy.
NOTE: you must press right on the save to get to the options, if you don't, the only option available will be delete.
