It says LPC mod v2.0. There is a sticker over the top aswell which i'm trying to get off, but not having much luck. Any ideas fella?

managed to get most of the sticker off, and i think it says SST, with a load of smaller numbers and letters below that

I've done some research and found that i can flash any 256k bios to that chip. Could someone please talk me through this process? After that i figure i should be sorted

Sorry man had to make the pic a link since it was stretching the page but you can use the aid disk to flash a bios to the chip, i wold go with the X-2 bios.

No doubt its simple and obvious, but i just can't see how to flash the bios using the aid disk could you tell me how?

If you made your aid disk with all the options go to the advanced options and select flash bios, select the bios you want and make sure if your chip has flash protection that you turned it off.
Thats all you got to do.

I'm using AID v 4.20 and the option to flash bios isnt there. Should it be?

Yeah it should be there, try reburning the iso but run the iso updater and add the addons to the iso.
