I have an unlocked xbox harddrive that I would like to use on a pc, instead of FTP, I posted a question about this awhile ago, but the answers I got + google did not help.

Basically I want a driver that will install support for FAT X in windows.

T00GG's program is NOT a driver, though I'm sure it's a great program (driver's don't have gui's or need mfc dll's -- furthermore even after the dll hunt, the damn thing couldn't see my hard drive), and FatXplorer can't either. Not sure why.

I'm using a USB enclosure if that makes a difference, but the computer can see the device just fine, it just has no driver to recognize the partition on it and work with it via windows explorer or my other preferred file managers.

Please don't tell me to use FTP, I'd rather have the files copied in an hour than in six days.

Eventually I want to make the hard drive easily removable from the xbox via case mod if I can get this all to work. Then the only thing left would be figuring out how to easily lock/unlock the hard drive (without being bothered to boot into linux...)

Yup, there is no two ways around it, a PC will not read a FATX system. It wouldn't matter what programs you had on the PC (file explorers and the like), the computer itself will not recognise the information on the drive.

Like wes says, without a Linux OS or formatting the drive back into a PC recognised format of FAT16, FAT32 or NTFS, you aren't going to be able to do anything with that drive man.
