Ok So I Went To Turn My Xbox On The Other Day, And Zip, Nothing, Nudda.
Pushed Eject And Ok, Boots Fine...
Googling "xbox power button errors" it seams most people haveing this issue have a broken button, BUT HERES MY WONDER:
I Have A X3 And Can Get Into FlashBios, Which Surely Means My Power Button Works?
Secondly About The Same Time This Started, My Box Has Decided To Read Every Disc/DVD/Game/Audio CD I Insert As "Empty" Or "Your Xbox Cannot Recognise This Disc Blah, Blah, Blah". Before People Say It Ill Type This Now:
1. The Discs Are Kept In Good Condition So Its Not The Discs,
2. I Tried My Spare DVD Drive And Still Nothing...
If Anyone Can Help Me With These I Would Be Grateful, As My Modding Has Got To Wait Until This Is Resolved.
Cheers In Advance!

Checked All Cabling Etc. There Fine, Only Thing I Could Think That i Changed Recently Was Setting Up A 2nd Bios To Run iND, but both the iND Bios And The X3 Bios Have The Same Effect, No Power Button, No DVD...
Oh How Much This Bums Me Out...

You could try going over all the mobo traces and see if any got busted.
If you have the stock hdd for that xbox you can try putting it in and see if it will do the same thing.
If it dose then its got to be a mobo prob and thay are real hard to pinpoint.

Well This Is An Interesting Development;
I Wondered What Would Happen If I Disabled The Power/Eject Module For The X3 (the part which enables easy boot of custom bios, flash bios & original bios) And Not Only Does The Power Button Work, But The DVD Now Reads Discs Too!
So The Error Was In The Module, But How Did This Affect The DVD?
Only Issue Now, How Do We Flash Bioses With Out FlashBios? Or Can This Be Done In X3Config? If So How? _________________ 1. Its Says Xbox Newbie, But Ive Been Modding For Years

Actually me and Wes couldn't flash my bios at all with the module on there. Only after we removed it did we have the ability to flash the bios. Remember that Wes???LMFAO!!! _________________

Yeah man i recall that all to well.
i got mad and said just pull the damn switch select off and boom it flashed, but when you do it that way you need to use a 1MB bios.
Then when you put the bios select switch back on set it to 1MB.
What bios was you useing EvilTim?

2x Bioses (dont ask why) The X3 Bios (cant remember number) on 0100 switchs and The Latest iND Bios on 1111 switchs, with the power button module removed how do i flash now?
and why did this affect the DVD?
then again the xbox is M$, it was never designed to make sense! _________________ 1. Its Says Xbox Newbie, But Ive Been Modding For Years
