sorry to ask this here not sure where to post this question
i have looked all through everywhere i could think to find the answer.
i have modded a few xboxs now and for some reason it seems that after awhile the mod just comes off the xbox and it boots to the linux dash and evox is no where to be found???
why does the mod just randomly uninstall?

Welcome to the HQ bigtrucker, we hope you enjoy are site and find all you need here.
Check out some of the other HQ sister sites and have fun.
I will need a little info on your setup like the size of your hdd.
If your running the stock hdd the onley way to muck the softmod is to delete the game save exploit or to over wright the dash xbe files in the C drive.
What are you doing when the softmod gets droped?
The best fix for this wold be to tsop the xbox or chip it, that wold be your best shot.

it is just normall xbox it was softmodded with the mech assault game save
and slayer 2.7
and it will work for awhile
then at random i turn it on and it just boots to the screen that show when you run the game save from mech assault

Please Don't double-poste, if you wold like your post moved to a diffrent section juast ask an admin to move it for you in the existing thred.
Now it sounds like you may have your xbox set to dule boot, dose it boot the same screen when you use the power button as it dose when you turn it on with the eject button?

sorry for the double post i bought vip status after i post here then posted there thought it would be better ,it won't happen again
as far as the xbox ,it always boot's the same no matter what button you push
(boots to evox) but it seems that after awile it just forgets the evox dash
and i have to reinstall the softmod everytime it has only happened a couple of times with only two out of 9 xbox's that i have modded
as soon as i reinstall the soft mod it will work for however long
it wants to .

You said you was useing the slayers boot disc so you might want to download the AID 4.10 disc here: http://www.aidtracker.com/ and use it to resoftmod the xbox with the softmod installer on the disc.
Sid 5 is up to date and may fix this prob.
I think you will find the Auto Installer Deluxe disc to be more compleat and well rounded boot disc then slayers.
Just download aid 4.10 and burn the iso file to a dvd-r or cdrw and if you like what it has you can download the aid 4.13 addon pack to get even more options.
