Hello everybody.

Im just beginning to explorer the many possibilities there is in an Xbox.
I have an Xecuter2 mod chip installed in my Xbox and i have just found out that it could be able to read 200 gb hdd. So im going to order one, but im not sure which one i should choose. I have read some articles saying the a hdd with 7200 rpm is not better than a 5400 rpm in a xbox, you woulden't get better performence in the xbox is that correct..?

And the other thing is i have installed xbmc as my dashboard. But it would be nice to create a menu item called My games, so i wouldent have to go trough my files to start my games. Is it possible to add more menu items in the xbmc? and is there a guide to do so.

Best Regards

Cptrico Smile

I have installed both speeds and honestly cant tell the difference. The only thing you want to do is make sure your drive is lockable.

use this link http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com/?p=list

and input the model number. You will get a result that will let you know if anyone had success locking the drive. Western Digitals are usually a good bet.

I actually have one more question now that you are so fast a replyer:)

I have found a lot of guides in the internet how to install a new hdd into the xbox but they are where different from eatch other.
Some says the only ftp is used for RAW commands and other says that you have to use a hdd tool to prepare the hdd first and so on.

I have resently downloaded a Boot disk called XTC-Multilanguage-Installer V2. I don't know if you are familiar with his one, but in the menu it has a feture called Install new Hdd. Wouldent this be the only thing i would have to do when i have installed the drive..? Or is there a better complete and functional guide out there, that is the best way of doing this.
