Right. I've tried to FTP my xbox and computer several times and have gotten help from the forums in the past, but alsas, no luck. I've posted pics of my progress before and what exactly I am doing, but nothing seems to work. If someone would be kind enough to help me solve my probelem by directing me to a very detailed walk through using either flash ftp or the ftp program that comes on the aid 4 disk, that would be great!!!!!! Otherwise if someone would take the time to walk me through it via IM some time that would also be a miracle from god. I finally got my stupid DVD2Xbox to work and I want to transfer stuff to my pc cause I am still using the standard launch date Hd. (yes I am working on putting a new Hd in put I want to back up everything on my computer first from the old via ftp) Thanks again! _________________ RastaCalavera

I have found two way that work for me.
1.) the IP adress on your computer is e.g (192.168.0.1) then you would make your xbox's ip (192.168.0.2) and the rest one the numbers like gateway and mask would be the same as on your computer
2.) If you use wireless like me then you could go with either Wireless connection settings or the LAN connection settings using the above as a guide.
You'll have to click start in the 'search' type 'run' and in the run program type 'cmd' or go to command prompt and type in 'ipconfig /all' this will bring up your settings, just make your static ip is is just one number higher or lower than your computers.
Hope this help you out man.

If you do however need some help ftping to your xbox I would be more then glad to aim you through it or even phone you through it. I know how frustrating ftping can be. Just ask Wes! He has helped me a number of times to fix my ftping situation. Anyhow just give me a holler if you need any more assistance. _________________

Really if you think about it ftping is not really hard it just takes a litle tweaking sometimes. But once you get it tweaked and saved it is a beautiful wonderful thing. So don't get frustrated...again if you are having problems I will be more then willing to help. _________________
