I won't post the exact link for fear of getting the ban-hammer, but look on instructables for "softmod your xbox for free". That's how I do it every time (with the exception of unlocking... i pull out the IDE plug for the DVD drive and wait till the exact moment the front LED FRAGs to swap)
BTW... 100th post!!! w007! _________________

Thanks man I found it on there shortly after starting this post. Its a good thing I got it whrn I did too cause my v1.6 FRAG'ed on me and the C: backup I had was missin somethin lucky the softmod pack has all the files I needed. I actually just use xbrowser in xboxhdm and transfer all the files I need over manually instead of the command to make it do the softmod cause it wont work for me of I try it that way. _________________

It doesn't do anything except say this is not a valid command or somethin to that extent. _________________

Yeah all the files are there and I did everything exactly as it says but it wouldn't work. Its no big deal or anything though I just gotta select all the C:& E: files from the disk and copy em to the respective drives on the HD. It also makes it crazy easy to rebuild an HD with only the EEPROM. I've seen a lot of people say they don't like ndure but I think this program is one of the best recovery tools I have. _________________
