Hello everyone, hope to get some help on this. Here's my situation:
I installed SID5.01..selecting unleashx, all went well. After, the mod I got the unleashx dash. Also in sid, I backup eeprom, ms dash , and c: drive to e: drive. Just a quick test, I put in a game I have, ncaa 2005, an xbox live capable game. I saw it automatically install/upgrade the dash. Now, not matter what I do, power on with top or bottom button, it goes into ms dash. I have try running the linux gamesave on the HD again. The led turns orange and it seem to try to load, but it reset and splinter cell game reload. I have also tried burning the AID iso on cdr and dvdr, but the xbox says that it is not recognize. How can I re-install the SID softmod? I have been search and it seem hotswap is my only hope. Also, since I've backup my eeprom, ms dash, and c: does the hotswap method allow me to extract it from the xbox's e: drive? Any help would be welcome.

hmm..so no one know if I could hotswap my disk to get to my xbox's saved eeprom ? From all the reading the last 24 hours, I could pretty much rebuild or build a new hard drive from it. I just wanted to make sure I do the hotswap correctly and save of the right files.

Your not getting an error any ware and have you tryed to uninstall all your saves and reinstall the softmod.

The ms dash update killed you softmod. Since all your backups are on your xbox instead of your pc, you cant use them to rebuild your hdd. As far as I know your gonna have to hotswap. _________________
wes213: Yes, I have tried many times. Delete the save games from Xbox HD and copying them over from memory card again. Start up splinter cell and select the linux profile to start. At this point I see the led turn orange, it seem to try and load but it only flicker, then splinter cell start up.
bongripz216: From my read, yes looks like my only option now is to hotswap. Here's where I want to be clear on some things. First, what program or apps should I use? Will it unlock the HD for me? Once the xbox Hd is in my pc as secondary and it is unlock, can I simply copy over my eeprom and saved c: from the xbox hd?
