Okay so what is the deal with the Canadian mod chip stores? I was just browsing some modchip stores and all of them say they will not ship to the U.S.A. now? What the heck is that about? I know that some stores here in the states got into trouble but I didn't think that applied to Canada. Besides modchips are not illegal in the first place....It's when someone mods there xbox and then goes and rents a bunch of games and burns them to the hard drive that is illegal. Just as long as the games on my hard drive are all in my possesion its all perfectly legal. So what gives with the no selling of modchips now?

Wow!!! One response to a topic that I thought would be slammed with replies. Is this subject taboo or something? Are we not allowed to talk about it? Just curious because normally if I post I get like 5 replies within minutes.

Just seen the post reb and i must say its just an over reaction to the raids, oh no uncal sam is on a rampage about jack shit again lets not make him mad boohoo.
Give it a week or so and youll see tv ads saying dont by modchips or the terrorist will win.

mod chips themselves arent actually illegal...its the bios that are illegal...a mod chip with no bios excluding the cromwell is totally legal...try buying one preflashed? not gonna happen...those are the illegal ones...thats why so many sites got the hammer...they were sellin pre flashed chips...and it scares other companies into shipping to the US....either that or their chips are pre flashed and wont ship to the US b/c of it... _________________

It just figures that the one mod chip company still shipping to the states is the one I had so much trouble with the first time I ordered a chip They were rude,crude and totally uncivilized. Anyhow I wonder how long it will be before the companies start to ship to the states again? What if they never ship to the states again? Then what would we all do? No chips,no modding and no fun I hope this thing blows over quick.

Consolesource.com is not shipping to the states. They are who I got my x3 from. I was going to get another chip from them again but when I clicked the modchips section it said not shipping to United States.

Ahhhh yes you bought your chips from mod-chip.com!!!! I tried to buy my first chip from modchip.com. Diffrent companies yes?
