Hi All,
Great Forum by the way.
I am in need of some help, as I am trying to get my Xbox to recognise my new 500 gig HD, and I need some guidance on how to do it because I don't want to mess this up...
I will attempt to give a brief outline on what I have done so far...
1) I softmodded my xbox using the "Krayzie Ndure Softmod Ver. 1.1)
2) I selected the "Unleash" dashboard that came with the softmod.
3) I bought a new 500 Gig seagate HD
4) I downloaded "xboxhdm_v1.9_zip" and successfully cloned my contents of my original (newly softmodded) xbox HD, to the new 500 Gig HD.
(this took quite some time as the Ndure softmod created a virtual C drive, which had to be manually transfered)
5) I plugged the xbox into the tv, and it looks and runs exactly how it did with the original (softmodded) xbox HD.
6) I went into the system / storage, and found that only 120 of my 500 gig was recognised by drive F:
7) I created a drive G through the dashboard, but I had no options to format this drive (I read that this would force the xbox to recognise the rest of my HD.
After alot of reading, I made the assumption that the dashboard that came with the "Krayzie Ndure V1.1 softmod" was too outdated and downloaded "Auto Installer Deluxe 4.01.
9) I have this file, and I am told that this will fix my problem. The only thing, is that there is tonnes of other stuff that comes with it, and I don't have any idea what they all do, etc. (ie folders that contain files that flash the bios, softmod files, etc).
I have read the wiki's and documentation, but none of the readme's contain clear instructions on how to fix the extra HD space.
Do I have to re-install a new dashboard, and if so how?
How does one run the "Auto Installer Deluxe.iso"? Is this the file I need and only that? And if so, how do I run it? Do i put it in the xbox (and if so do i need to access the bios to set boot priority?, or do I unlock my HD and put it in a pc, and boot the iso from it?
Sorry for the length of this post. Any help will be much appreciated. I just don't want to fry my xbox over something small like this.

Auto Installer Deluxe is an .iso or cd image file. you need to burn it onto a disc. there should be a manual that comes ith it explaining exactly how to do it. You should be able to format your drive in unleashx. theres an option in the system menu. _________________

Hi there,
Thanks for your reply.
For some reason I do not have this option in settings to format any of my drives. That is why I downloaded AID in the first place.
There literally is no option.
I used teh Krayzie Ndure Softmod 1.1., and installed UnleashX from there, so I was thinkign that maybe it is an old version of Unleash X and does not have this option available...

in order to format your G drive you will have to use SID installer and go onto it and tell it to format the drive, you will also have to format another partition using a program that i forgot off the top of my head because the xbox would use a hard drive bigger then 300, i think it may be your BIOS you have to update. i rember reading it on the fourms just read around a bit. if you need help email me or something ill try to walk you through

You need a chip to flash your bios. Try resoftmodding with SID 5.0. Sid should come with the AID disc. _________________

OK, yes it is official. I am an idot.
I did read the AID 4.01 installer, but just after I hard swapped my HD, and thoguht I had to do the same thing for this iso DVD.
My solution?
All I had to do was to put my the ISO that came with the download into the xbox, and boot it up using that.
So yeah, I am a d i c k.
Thanks for your help and support.
Now I just need to figure out what all these applications that came with the AID 4.01 download actually do.
Have a good weekend guys.
Peace out.>
Raynard.
