Hi, my xbox is softmoded (sorry, I don't know what version of softmod deluxe it is, got it from a friend) and I just bought a Linksys WGA54G game adapter so my xbox can get on my wireless internet as well as let me ftp to it from anywere in the house. Its not working though and, from what I have read, I think the only way to set it up proper is by going into the Network Settings in the original ms dash. However when I'm in the ms dash, everything works except the network settings part. When I select it a spinning loading circle appears and then freezes.
Do I need to get into those settings to get this to wok, or is there a better way?
If not, any ideas on why its hanging up and how to fix it?
Yes, and it didnt work. I read a few forum post of people with the same problem and they all end in the person setting it up in the ms dash and it working then. For some reason my ms dash wont let me get into the network settings though because it keeps freezing loading that screen.

how do i do that? I just finished using the xboxhdm cd i have to rebuild the c: drive, and it still dosent work. When i boot via the open tray mode, and its in the softmod controls part, there is an option to patch to ms dash 5960. Do i need to do that? I dont have a copy if ms dash 5960 i dont think.. how do i find out what version i currently have?

Thanks for all the help, I tryed a bit of that with not much luck. I found a post on another site with a guy who also had a problem with the WGA54G. I did what he did, and disabled the encryption on the router and the wga54g, and it now works fine! Im not happy with having an unprotected network, but at least its a starting point and now i can work on that aspect. Thanks again!
