ok, so i have my xbox v1.6 running SID 4.5 single boot. everything has been going wonderful for the past 6 months or so, but recently now when i boot it, it goes to some xbox live account management screen.... its saying stuff like new account, account management, etc. now i can still play original xbox games but when i throw in a backup, it just goes back to the xbox live setup weirdness.
also, let me mention my system has never been connected on-line -EVER. the only recent 'different' activity thats occurred was my lil bro bought a used "starwars - clone wars" game (legit, not backup), and played it on my system....
now is it possible that it updated something? or changed a few files?.... cause thats the only thing i can think of.
and to fix it, could i boot up via the Splintercell & SID4.5 method, uninstall the softmod, and reinstall? i donno. please help

First thing to try wold be to reinstall the MS dash sounds like the dash was updated by a game since you have never had it online it must have been the star wars game.
So I tried re-installing it via the game-save exploit again... but i can’t get the xbox to read the memory card. It won’t load to the dash board and it won’t load to any copied games. I even tried ftping to it (hoping some of the of the softmod was still there, but no, nothing ). Like an idiot, I had deleted the saved game exploit off the hard drive cause I wanted the space, and now I’m stuck.
oh, I asked my lil bro to show me the last thing he did… he popped in the game “Star Wars the clone wars / Tetris worlds” it’s some cheesy double game he bought for like $10 *sigh*. He when into the game menu and select some “star wars live setup” option, then it brought him to the xbox live account setup screen… and that’s where I’m stuck now.
is there anything short of my buying a mod chip to fix this? Any suggestions?
