Umm That hard drive that he is talking about.....the western digital 500gb hard drive. I have a question....is that drive lockable? Are all western digital drives lockable or only certain ones? I am only asking because I wanted to purchase the drive above for my xbox but when I went to http://xboxdrives.x-pec.com it wasn't on there. Any help with this question would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

You have to remember, all the drive on those 2 lists are there because someone got it, was able to lock it, and submitted it to the list. Just because its not on a list dosnt mean you cant lock it. I would suggest that you onkly get a drive from the list though just to be safe. Unless you plan on having another use for it. _________________

I agree. If you are specifically buying a drive to go into your Xbox, its worth buying a tried and tested one. You don't want to buy a brand spanking new 500Gb drive, only to find it won't lock. A lot of new drives are starting to get improved security features.
I'm still curious though, why would you want 500Gb in your Xbox?

I only have a 160Gb, and I have all my games, my emulators with my older console games, a movie or two and I've got space to spare! Just really wondering why you would put 500Gb in there?

He would need a LOT of games to fill that. I've got 30 I believe, and that doesn't fill a 160Gb. Assuming that each game is 4Gb max, that would mean he could fit 125 games on there (and thats IF they were all 4Gb, which they aren't).

My buddy is a manager at a game store... You should really see his collection. At one time he had everything for xbox. Including that crazy controller thing for that tank game. Right now, he had a Wii before it came out and has ever game. _________________

If he's a game store manager, thats slightly different, lol. For your average Joe like you and I, 125 games would be a bit.....excessive!
