ok i have said this a long time ago and no one has really helped me. i had mods on xbox cool mods and i had to be dumb and try to take hacked dash and all mods off so i could go online but as soon as it said all mods off or whatever restart xbox blah blah blah an error msg came up after i did restart and i wasnt able to play or do anything i want this fixed. my dad said he would pay half of a 360 so should i just toss the xbox and get that? i want to fix this xbox plz plz plz tell me what to do and if i get a chip which 1 that will fix this and is easy to use and install. i need help! also this is making me mad so please help me before i kill some1. J.K. anyways please tell me u know how to thanks.

i downloaded i think it was krazy whatever and had evox as dash and got put them on the mem card and went into splinter cell. thats how i did it. anyways after uninstalling it a message popped up as soon as i turned on the xbox. anyways i went to uninstall in menu thing and it went through the process and it said mods successfully uninstalled restart thing and i did then an error message popped up and it broke. um i do want to get a chip but not a super expensive one so what chip will fix and restore the xbox and is fun to mess around on and easy to install and may or maynot have to use the computer so much.
please o please will some one help me!

If you just borked your bios, then any old modern chip should do. Since you want cheap, go with an an Alladin or a DuoX2GS. I've never tinkered with an Alladin personally, but I installed a DuoX2GS on a friend's box (after screwing up my first, admittedly...but I did get my second go, an X3 right and it's a breeze if you take it slow and do your reading. You can get one for around $15-20 plus shipping.

Sorry, guess I should pay better attention. It looks like you borked your dash, not your bios. Either way, you're going to need a chip to recover. Exactly what does your Xbox do when you try to boot? Frag (the power lights Flash Red and Green), give you an error code, or just bump you to a screen saying that your Xbox needs to be serviced?

as soon as i turn it on it says error i think 21. and i cant play games at all. so which chip is better x3 or xenium or however u spell it, gold or ice whatever. my mom owes me 110 bucks. 100 for grades and i had a D, and 10 for giving my dog a bath 2 times. ya so im not to worried about the money although my dad said he would pay half of a 360 so i only need to get to 200 then i got the 360. so i dont know should i just get the 360 then get a chip to fix it. cuz im liking that idea better. so what the heck i guess i will do that but still get a chip u know. um anyways ya so with has a good recovery program x3 or xenium chip?

Either chip will do. I personally use Xeniums, they're a breeze to install especially if its solderless. Once you install the chip and flash the bios, AID will do the rest and your xbox will be back to normal and then some,...lol _________________

if you could still salvage your eeprom on that hard drive you may be able to just remake the hard drive it self and not need a chip at all, then you could just start over with a brand new box and just install the softmod again. using xboxhdm and your computer of course. i could help you with this as i have done it before.

i have my xbox takin apart what can i do now to fix it in a way. without hooking up to a pc? how would i put the things and restore it? if i just put it back 2 gether would the prob still be there. will i be able to play halo 1 cuz my friend is borrowing h2. i had h2 on hdd is it still there? can i play wit my mods? i want to play wit them.

Ok man.... Heres whats wrong with your xbox. When you installed the softmod, you probobly didnt back up your stock ms dash. So now since you uninstalled your mods, you have no dashboard on your xbox. Really, the only way you can fix it is by installing a modchip. With a modchip installed, you can boot with the AID disc to install a dashboard. If you arnt comfortable with installing a modchip on your own, you can allways ask someone here to install it for you. Taking it apart and putting it back together will do absolutly nothing. _________________

ok well where would i send it to to have someone put the chip in and restore it for me? i live in washington in the city tri-cities. not sure if this is allowed i mean telling state and city. anyways ya. also is there chip in my city that i can buy or only online?

The chips are onley on line that i know of and as for installing it im thinking youll need to do it yourself or send it out to one of the many providers.
